The original Reaco batteries were engineered and designed to meet the requirements of underground mine duty where reliability
and durability are an absolute must. Those original designs are still in use today. On every flat-plate battery
manufactured, you will find the following components which separate us from the competition.
HEAVY DUTY ANTIMONIAL GRIDS
The addition of antimony provides the lead greids with rigidity they need to withstand vibration.
THICKER CROW'S FEET AND BUSS BARS
This critical area where the positive plates are joined is the spot where many manufacturers have elected to reduce costs
throught the use of automated machines and less lead. Not at REACO. Our plates are still grouped by hand, the
old fashioned way.
- THICKER CELL POSTS AND INTERCELL CONNECTING STRAPS
These parts are still made with antimonial leat at REACO. In addition to providing prolonged durability, the added
thickness makes for increased current carrying capacity.
- "HONEY-COMBED" STEEL TRAY CONSTRUCTION
Our industrial forklift battery trays are manufactured by the same folks that make our rugged under-ground mining trays.
They only know one way to do it. Inside each REACO steel tray, you will find a network of support partitions which enables
the batteries to retain their shape and offers additional protection in the event of an accident.
